About This Spot
Stepping into Auberge Saint-Martin, nestled in the heart of Kintzheim, feels like entering a cherished corner of Alsace where time slows just enough to savor the moment. This quietly bustling restaurant carries the warmth of a village favorite—welcoming without fuss, yet reverent toward the traditions and flavors that define the region. Soft chatter mingles with the clink of glasses, and the aroma of wood-fired dishes gently beckons from the open kitchen, inviting you to lean in and discover the story behind each plate.

Auberge Saint-Martin’s atmosphere is approachable, a place where the joy of sharing food feels intimate and natural rather than staged.
As each dish arrives—whether a perfectly blistered tarte flambée topped with smoky bacon, a hearty choucroute garnie rich with local sausages and sauerkraut, or a delicate crème brûlée that cracks to reveal its creamy heart—it becomes clear that this is comfort rooted in place and tradition. The menu’s offerings invite you to explore Alsace through its flavors, with nuances like melted Munster cheese or caramelized apples adding layers of meaning to familiar recipes. Paired with thoughtfully chosen regional wines, these meals offer more than sustenance; they foster a connection to the land and its seasonal rhythms.
This is a spot where stories are made over plates passed around the table, glasses lifted in good company, and the simple pleasure of well-crafted food savored without hurry. Whether you’re lingering over a post-dinner café alsacien or drawn by the lure of a cozy village only moments from Haut-Koenigsbourg, Auberge Saint-Martin carries the quiet joy of discovery—a place where warmth, tradition, and the everyday tastes of Alsace come vividly alive.

It was a lovely dinner! I do recommend the place. Fantastic service, food was super good and the village is so lovely... we had cuisse de canette, scargot, fraises mousse with fresh fruits, and a savory couvert. Good options of wine labels for all taste and pockets.

Hidden gem near Haut Koenigsbourg castle! Super good Flambee tart, a local specialty. Owner is friendly and staff are efficient. Very popular so book your table in advance. Parking next to the restaurant.

I couldn’t believe there was another tier of tarte flambé. They all are pretty good, but theirs was in another level. Can’t wait to go back. Service was friendly and the wine list was impressive.

Great place for a tarte flambée. Two separate very learnèd locals recommended this place. They have a very utilitarian wine list with lots of classics, but nothing amazing—but then again, with simple home-made food, that’s all you need. The service was very rushed yet efficient. Can’t comment on the rest of the menu, except the steak tartare we had that left much to be desired.

Amazing food and service, way too much but very very tasty. Manager was one in a million as was the staff, we will be heading back, thank you!

Wonderful place with delicious food. We ate traditional tarte and Creme Brule. Big portions and really tasty! Friendly personnel! We suggest!!!

Here's the deal with Auberge Saint Martin - they do a very nice tarte flambee and this ridiculous dessert where they pack ice cream into a merengue bowl and cover it with whipped cream and I strongly recommend both of those items. We had a group of 6 on a busy day and were served cheerily and efficiently.
